Your campsite in the Loire Valley

Our campsite is ideally located in Mesland, the perfect springboard for visits to a host of exceptional sites starting with the Loire castles. In less than an hour you can be enjoying a visit to the majestic Chambord Castle. This astonishing example of Renaissance architecture that was the home of French monarchy will dazzle you with its 440 rooms, 365 chimneys and its colossal staircase designed by Leonardo de Vinci.

And while you are out and about you can also visit Blois Castle, the Castle of Chaumont sur Loire with its garden festival, Chenonceau Castle built on the water or Cheverny Castle with its collection of arms. If you love the Renaissance period, your cup will run over when you visit Clos Lucé, the last residence of Leonardo de Vinci and when you see his innumerable inventions you will be left in no doubt as to the genius of this great man.

Your children will also love an outing to the Beaumarché Wildlife Park in Autrèche just 11 kilometres from our campsite where they will see lots of different animals from the safety of their Safari train. And if you want to introduce them to even more exotic animals, take them to Beauval Zoo just 40 kilometres away or the Val de Loire Aquarium, 20 kilometres away. And finally, lovers of good wine will enjoy a visit to the wine cellars of Vouvray where they will be able to taste some of their finest white wines.
